maybe no solution but a hint: i experienced the same problem when i was in sweden with my X9. when humidity was high (like on foggy days or on evenings when having parked near a lake), the electric starter didn't do anything. but by letting the car run "down the hill" and letting the clutch "come", the engine started within some meters. so i assume, there must be something wrong with the electric starter.
anyway, this problem NEVER occured again when i came back to austria. so i never tested or replaced the starter...
