Vibrations! Engine mounts or bad timing??
 
Hello!

I feel always vibrations on idle. Lite more vibrations if i hit the gaspedal and around 1200RPM.

This is really not good.

What do you think it is? Change engine ruber mounts? Both of the or just one? Wicg one? Or is it the timing that is not correctly set? OR something els?

Did you set the ignition timing with strobo lamp and wire in diagnostic port?
It should be 10° before upper deadpoint.

I cant check it for exactly 10 degres because the plastic mark was missing.
But i had some vibrations before the engine was change also.

Why do you need to connect it to the diagnostic with the cabel?
Normal, 1 cylinder cabel and then + and - and ground and ten diagnos mode. ?

The cars engine value co and lambda and the rest was okay in the car control yesterday but can the timing still be off?

Is the intake hose 100% OK? I mean the big rubber hose with the 90 degrees.

When they get old, they leak and take false air.

The intake house has been a problem but its seald with good tuct tape.
Can that give vibrations in the chassi??

the vibrations is not constant its more like brrr---brrr----brrr and most around 1200-1300 rpm.

Then when the engine is warm the rpm meter is lockt around 650rpm but the engine feels not like r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r more like r--rrr--rr--rrrr-r-r-rr-rr-rrr--rrrrr--r

if you understand my explaination = )

Because ECU is changing timing!
So you need to tell ECU to go to std. setting.

OK,

Test the TPS. Set bridge in TEN and GND when engine running. If the cooler-vents turn on, you have to set it.
TPS Throttle position sensor
http://www.probewiki.de/TPS

than you set the idle RPM to 650 with bridge in TEN and GND in diagnostic port
with the little screw on throttle body

After that you calibrate the ignition to 10° before OT. even with bridge in TEN and GND.

Also check Ignition cables and the right firing direction :-)

I know i have to have a cable between ten and ground bout i thougth it was som other special cable! oki!

I had the vibration before also but not so much i think.

Yesterday the car started to sound like it didnt go on all cylinder :-/
When im starting it then after 10sec its bether.

Allso it feel week when im push the gaspedal and sometimes it will only go to 3000rpm even if push gaspedal. A litle stutturing also. Checked faultycode. Number 24!

Not easy problems for you to help me with.. Anyone comes to gothenburg this summer = )? Can listen!

I will change the fuel pump and the filter next week because that also is a problem.

I weent to a car dealer that had a Ford probe 2.5 v6 and that engine sounded so good. Mine doesnt not but i hope the time setting will make it better.

The most problems with such symptomes are in the ignition ore the vacuum system. When the KF had the same problem it could not be camshaft´s :-).

Please also check the cooling system, in the past there some guys which had bad idle because of unsealed coolant caps.

fault code 24 = Lamdasensor back Block, inversion error

this was mine, some years ago, the wining noise are the new bearings from timing belt.

UPDATE!
 
Hello!

I checked the intake hose again and took it down and sealed it better with new tape. After that WOW! The engine respond really good and its more power now.

I gues that was the problem!

I will buy a used new intake hose!! Anyone as one for sale to me? = )

I think you should buy a new one.

Rubber gets old... I know the price, but a used one could even be defect soon.

Today i got some new problems. Jesus, this car is really testing me.

Faulty code 25!

So i know i have some problems with the fuel pump when its 1/2 tank its doesnt respond as it should but now i have full fuel tank and still problem.
So is it often the fuel regulator or the solenoid for the regulator?

Any thoughts?
