Hello once again!

Engine: KL V6 2.5
Gearbox: manual
Year: 13.04.1992 (1-th generation)
Colour: Z6 Graphite Grey Mica

I`ll add more photos with all modification which i have made.

I`ll add photos of modification of random period of time.
You can see Mazda 6 2.3 17` ET55 J7 rims with Bridgestone Potenzo 215x45x17.
Now i use Continental ContiSport Contact 205x50x17

I put lower springs too.
As i know they are made in Germany.
FK Automotive (35-40mm) - 115€

On 3 last pictures you can see how it looked like previous
I think that there wasn`t installed original. Too high for original susspension.

At first i had plastic doorsteps.
Suddenly found chrome, and bought
I spend about 30 min to polish them.

I put Xenon lights 6000K
Better view at night!

As you see, at first i didn`t had front fog lamps.
I have bought here in Riga for 45€ great pair, but i had to order holders from St.Petersburg, because i couldn`t find them here in Latvia.
I put a relay, found original button, made wiring by myself.
Here are photos.
I can say that Xedos 6 fog lamps are only for decoration, there no any brightness:)

Your car looks very beautiful! You've done a very good job ;) The Mazda Orginal-Rims are looking very nice :)
I think you wouldn't install a Xenon-Kit again in the Xedos, because it's very hard work and very very difficult ;-) I already did it three months ago and it took away 6 hours of my life :p

I have another 2 caps, 2 original bulb holders.
And i have made special bulb holders for Xenon bulbs from original holders.
It`s not problem for me to take it off or put.:) :D

I just can approve the compliments have been made respective the style and trim of your X. But what I´m more interested in, is the difference in performance to your prior kf-engine.
Do you recognize a significant better acceleration?

Sure i feel it.:D
I can accelerate from 1500-2000rpm on 2-nd gear with no problem. I do not need to switch 1-st gear like on KF engine.
It`s runs fast from 110-170km/h, i drove from Hamburg-Munchen on autobahn.
If you run on first gear at 1500-2000 rpm, the front wheels are spinning if you suddenly accelerate on 100%.
I thougt if i`ll put 15 stock wheels i`ll burn all tires.

I drag with the stock 2.0 KF Xedos. He starts from 3500-4000rpm
I just accelerate from 1500-2000rpm (without burning tires).
So here is the link on youtube, you should see, that KF Xedos (yellow lights) accelerates first, but i reached him before switching second gear.8);)

I now have problems with 2 oxygen sensors, diagnostics shows that they do not work. And i order new distributur cap with a rotor. I hope that more horses will return to my KL :)

Alcantara saloon

At first i had simple seats.
They were clean, good condition, driver`s seat had no holes.
You can see on the first picture what type of seats i had before.
I bought dirty alcantara saloon from Xedos 1998.
I put it all of, washed, and then put it back.

Future plans: buy Xedo9 alcantara rear seats, and make my drivers seat from that alcantara texture.
Here are pictures.

Also i put electric seat.8)
Future plans: to find electric seat from Right hand Xedos or Eunos 500. And put it in passenger side.

Side Mirrors (full electric)

Folding side mirrors.
I wanted to put them during 1,5 year.
As you know X6 had option when mirrors fold.
Here in Latvia i couldn`t find X6 folding mirrors, because we have a lot of Xedos 1992-1996 year only.
So i bought mirrors from Xedos 9 (red colour). :) Just put everything in mine body.
Made wiring and put original button.

Front door acoustics

I bought Alpine SPG17CS 16.5cm.
Put in stock place - no sound, and i can`t put original grill.
So i made this.

Die interessiert mich nur, wenn es um wirklich Sicherheitsgefährdende Umbauten geht. Die LEDs würde ich als Tagfahrlicht nutzen, so wie jetzt die Nebler auch schon, nur dass es mit den LEDs besser aussieht, auf Dauer billiger ist und weniger Strom braucht.

Hey mate,

great job, did you made the swap yourself?

I recommend you to put 225/45/17 or 235 on your front wheels.
Cause you have now a "little" bit more torque (NM) on the front axial and you need something to hold the damn power on the Street ;D

Same here I drive now Daimler Mercedes Benz W202 C280 with 270 NM and 193 on 195/65/15 orginal wheels and i can't get away on starts without spinning my wheels... :)

Yes, i`m fully satisfied, but i thought that it will be much lower, when i compare old spring with new one (you can see on picture difference). I like it more, because the vibration is gone away (i had low vibration when acalarating at 2300-2700rpm). Perfect look! :)

Swap was made in service. But i regularly was there and looking and helping.
After the swap was made i spent a lot of money and time to make all to the end.
I`ll add new post about swap in few days. I`ll write everything what i have made during swapping.
I had 215x45x17, now i put 205x50x17
The alloys rims of M6 are very heavy, on 205x50 it`s better running, but i need to control spinning.
I thought on your idea, but you right, not so insane power added during swap:)
Sure, safety first, then other things.

Are you serious? My Bluevision looked so much yellower than yours, unbelievable.... :think: So i put in the Osram Nightbreaker again, they are a little bit more "white" (at least at night). 8)

Maybe on the photo it looks so bright and white.
In real life it`s not white!
When i bought i thought that it will look better.

But you know, that i put the same mine Philips H3 in Mitsubishi Galant, it looks really white.
I think the problem is that we have Lens there.

Engine from: Mazda 626 2.5 V6 1993 (automatic)
Inject manifold and throttle body from 626 2.5 too.
ECU: KL05
Airflow meter: KL02
Wiring is mine KF (stock)
I have 1-th generation X6 and the engine was from 626 of 1-th generation too.
So all sensors are in place.
Put my 2.0 KF manual transmission.
Drive shafts were from X6 KF. Now i put of 626 2.5 automatic (i thought that from KL they are larger, but they are the same)
Rear engine mounting is new, from 2.5 engine (it`s larger)
New clutch and bearing.
Changed rods, oil seals, gaskets of valve cover, new water pump, new tensioner, new timing belt, all rolls, new oil, filters, NGK wires, denso spark plugs.
I made everything in service, only swap and engine preparing.
After that spend a lot of time on other things, cleaning, putting everything in correct place.

And it's impossible to get your car legalized, with stuff like Xenon. Also the police would recognize it pretty fast... :nein:

So..during this cold winter i have bought another KL engine from Xedos 9 1995 2.5 Automatic gearbox.
I dissassembled it and washed a little bit.
In near future i will order new genuine rings, bearing, seals, gaskets.
The engne rebuild will go this season.:p

Look like new, is not it?
In fact, I cleaned them in an ultrasonic bath.

Engine block heads are going to the specialists.

Mazda 6 front brakes

Hello!
Today i put Mazda 6 front brakes.
EBC ceramic brake pads and a little perforated discs.
Brake callipers are fully rebuild, new pistons, rubbers, guides.
They were used about 10000km by another Mazda owner, my friend, mazda clubber.

Amazing difference in braking.

Also changed brake and clutch fluid.

Absolutely. Just buy and put. Nothing to invent.
Discs are from 2.0 - 2.3 Mazda 6 version.
One thing only, stock 15 alloys will need spacer, probably. Or just put 16 inch wheel on winter as i did.

I know that it is possible without any large changes, put from MPS 6 also.
But i can`t find here in Latvia any MPS for parts. New are too expensive.

Brake System is the same, only the ABS ECU is another than xedos, by premacy i dont know.

Probably, but i compared 626 GE and X6, they are a little bit different.

Same platform does not mean identical brakes and completely identical parts.

Ok, 626 GE, Xedos 6, MX-6 and Ford Probe II are using the same platform, the same technic, same engines - but there are a lot of differences in detail.

And no, Premacy does not use the GE-platform.

Sorry, didn`t write till the end.
I meant that 626 GF = Premacy = 323 BJ

Today took rebuilded heads.
Was made:
1. polished surface
2. new valve guides on exhaust valves
3. polished valves
4. valves and valve seats were machined. Made stock angles. Tested by vacuum.
5. i washed heads using karcher with 100`C temperature

Are that the pistons from KL31 / KLZE?

I modified stock silencer. There is one sraight pipe inside. But i put that silencer off.

A lot of great work you did there! This car i probably the envy of all Xedos-enthusiasts...

Air leek removing

Thanks everybody for the respect.
Truly, a lot of hard work we did. Spent a lot of time to a lot of small things.
I was working all Easter 14 hour a day. Then 3 day after work, till 12-00 o`clock. And i spent 2 others day to assembly engine block.

On Saturday,I did once again great thing. Removed all air leak and changed new spark plugs.
I bought new intake manifold gaskets, new vacuum pipes, DENSO plugs.
Vacuum pipes connected by scheme. And i think i have removed 16th error from ECU (EGR malfunction)

Now engine is working fine on XX rpms.

But...it is from right hand Xedos.

1. rods will go to my Xedos
2. i`ll try to get out all seals and put in mine.

Thanks for the comment.
I had a little car accident in autumn, when it started snowing.
I received an insurance.
And did all jobs, but did not paint. Because colour needs to dry, but not in snowing days.
Also i did 2 other small damages.

During this 2 weeks, i try to get to the painter, who is too busy. But it seems that i will have no time now.
So, i`ll go to Xedos Meet with those black spots.))

Very nice work, and the 50/35 KAW springs still are my faves, I put them back in after a year with the 40/40 FK, just like you. 8)

Yesterday, i tested rear arches.
Put three friends inside on back seat.
So, everything OK. No scratches.

does the dual back contact conector ftis ok in front signal light??or do you have to do some modification?when you turn signal on is brighter than parkinglight light?i guess is just like on the back lights.
i like yours folding mirrors...for a long time i dream at those mirrors:)
can i put some folding mirrors or i had to modifide mine with some parts from the folding ones?does it has a litle motor wich folds the mirrors?
why do you change the 215/45/17 tires?it was rubbing in fenders or shock absorber? 225/45/18 fits or it to wide and tall?

It fits, but you need to modified keepers.
Turn light signal has 3. Rear 2 contact has 4 keepers. But it is only one modification, it`s not a problem.

It is much brighter. Sidelight will be used in 5W and turn in 21W

NO! You need to use folding ones. You can just put your outside parts, to do not paint. And leave your triangle on a door.

No rubbing.Tire were inside of an archs. Everything fits fine on a stock federn. At that moment i have no FK springs.
I would like something bigger 45>50, because of the roads. On 205 runs better.

I know that RX8 whel fits great on Xedos.
I saw not one X6 on RX8 wheels.
Put 225x40

it sure looking great but i'm afraid that tires are too wide and tall, but my xedos isn't lowered...maybe i should give a try:)
this guy puts 205/40/18 tires

I prefer 205 wide.
For Xedos it will be much ligheter and better running.

Thats WAY too much. 225/35 R18 would be the right dimension for the V6.

I have 225/35R18 on X6 since 7 or 8 years with 3 different rims. It's perfect up to 8x18", when body edges are raised.

thank you all for your answears...i'm glad that i can put 225/35/18 tires on my xedos because i was thinking that tires will toch the fenders or the shock absorber/springs.

what 18' et is the best for xedos 6? rx8 18 wheel has et 50 and i read on tires topic that was bended and drawn ha..what is that mean? what do you bend?

Just have a look: Sammelthread Reifen/Felgen/Fahrwerkskombination.

When using RX-8-Wheels with ET50 the wheels could contact suspension parts (strut). With ET50 the wheel could be *too* close to the shock absorber...

Racing on a track

On 30 of July we had Jap Car Meet 2011
All Japanese car were welcome.
I enjoyed it too. Also enjoyed Racing on a track.
For the first time i have a great result. If we put out Evolution, Subarus, HOnda S2000, i have 2nd or 3rd place.
I have a problem with low fuel in a tank, sometimes i cought air. And I was too much scared of the knock noise after first race. It was too hot oil. Now is fine.

So. Changed oil on next 10000km

And finally received exhaust manifold.
Won auction on eBay, just for 100 Euro with shipping.;)
Need to buy thermal tape and i would like to make 60mm exhaust till silencer.
Because this manifold has 60mm on exit.

I hope will increase some power, i just hope...

I bought new badge by part number from Xedos 6 1998 year.
But new style "M" badge has holes on outside round. Lotos badge has holes in inside round. Need do drill.

15 inch wheel 195x60 1.9 bar on front axle.

It really goes better, even if warm up tires.

falls du das K.A.W meinst stimmt das nicht ganz , habe zwei satz <federn von K.A.W der eine in gelb ist sehr hart , der andere den ich zur zeit fahre ist rot und fährt sichfast wie serie mit guten alles andere als hart .
werde mal bei gelegenheit die abe der federn vergleichen .

After rebuild and swap has traveled 20,000 + miles
Made five oil changes:
1. 1000km
2. 3000 km
3. 10000km
4. 10000km
5. 7000km current

Between replacemenst i don`t added more oil. No consumption.
When replace i fill each time somewhere 3800-3900ml (with filter)

Are you serious?

When I changed from FK with KYB gas filled dampers to KAW with same dampers I didn't notice any difference. Both are pretty hard. 8)
However, KAW looks so much better on the Xedos 6.

When I drove on FK i had comfortable Xedos on stock KYB

When i changed to KAW on stock KYB it started to be not so comfortable. But beauty is on a first place, and i have best steering.

Rear arms restauration

I bought rusted arms from another Xedos6
They were blasted by sand and painted with powder paint
And new polyurethane silent blocks in.
All was done in specializing workshop

how much did you pay to the workshop?

Especially for me price was around 200-250€ for all 6 arms

All the time i bought 4l of Dexelia oil.
During 9000km i do not added any oil.
But i think that oil level changed a little, but i think these small grams burns inside of engine, because my driving style is quite active.

So i`m fully satisfied, because really, i drove on autobahn many time till 200km/h, i drove time attack on tracks sometimes and etc.

Mazda 6 MPS front brakes

So, i bought Mazda 6 MPS front brakes.
In near month i plan to put them.: D

Why MPS?
1. plug`n`play
2. discs are 320mm + brake pad large area (Mazda 6 2.0/2.3 discs are 287mm)
3. i want more powerful brakes

But bad news, that i`ll need at least 17 inch wheels.: (

please tell us how it breaks after you mount mps breaks kit...it just plug and play? it needs to have 17'rims? nice upgrade!nice xedos! let-s hope i will get the money for bigger rims and bigger breaks:)for my xedos too.

With M6 2.0 2.3 calipers you can put also 15 inch. But not all. Xedos genuine will not fit without spacer.
MX6 2nd gen fits with no problems.

on oem 15 wheels it will fit well? maybe i will have to wait to buy 17 or 18 wheels before i put bigger breaks:) good luck with yours upgrades!
now i had to modified a set of rx8 seats to put it in my xedos...later will see.

artem,can you tell me if mazda 6 steering wheel it fits well on our xedos 6? i saw a green xedos like madicioco's(the spanish)on your russian forum with mazda 6 steering wheel...do you know if airbag will work? do you have to do modification or is just plug and play? i understand that airbag from rx8 steering wheel doesn't work on our xedos because is two stage new generation and our is single stage older geeration.
what kind of steering wheels fits in our xedos 6?
