Yes, this is wrong.
The "indermediate axle" will be mounted in the opposite way as shown on the picture. In the gearbox there is only the "teeth-connection" and on the right side there is the bearing. And the body of this bearing should be screwed to the engine block. In my case (Xedos 9 KL manual gear) there where 3 holes, but 2 screws.
