xedos 6 2.0 v6 106kw on lpg?

hello,
I recently bought a xedos 6, the car looks and drives beutifully.. it was olso cheap so i bought it...
the only problem is the fuel consumption.. the range is low.. even if i drive carefully, with no hard acceleration's;
a friend of a frient is selling a lpg installation , but i'm wondering if it has bad effects on the motor ?! considering that the mileage is near 300k..
could you tell me your\s fuel range on petrol and gas.. i suppose that in this great community somebody, at some time tried the lpg trick..

ps: sorry for my bad english..

If the fuel consumption is to high please check your engine. Possibly there's something wrong. The fuel consumption have to be less than 10 l/100km except city usage only or on short trips daily.

The V6 engine is well known to be capable for LPG perfectly. My own '92 Xedos 6 V6 was modified for LPG with 200.600 km on speedometer. Now it has nearly 300.000 km. Never had trouble with using LPG.

My X6 needs 15% more LPG than gasoline (petrol) - correct and expected. Gas consumption is nearly 11 liters per 100 km on LPG, because of driving in city and often short trips only. When driving long distances on german Autobahn with higher speed the Gas comsumption is less then 10 liters. Best Gasoline consumption was 7,9 l/100 km.

Regards,
Christian

Definitively no. The smaller 2.0 liter V6 engine's fuel consumption is a bit higher or simply the same. This is because you can drive the bigger 2.5 liters engine with a lower rpm level generally while it produces more torque on lower rpm.
